I'm going camping this weekend and I wonder about the supplies for boiling a few blue crabs on the site?
For years I was not camping and I wonder if this can be done with an open door and a large pot or if I have to get a camp stove. Recipes, advice or answers will be helpful.
When you do a lot of camping near the car, I recommend getting the Dutch oven and a tripod. If you hang a Dutch oven over an open fire, you keep throwing fuel to the fire (as you probably would anyway) then you should have no problem boiling water long enough for some tasty crabs. stoves camping are useful – use them when I'm away from the car – but cooking on the stove is more satisfying. I also like to avoid using non-refillable propane / tanks butane required by many homes.
