Can you put a portable gas grill at a table outside?

I have a Weber Q portable grill and do not want to spend money on its stand, because it seems expensive for what it is. I wonder if it is safe to put on a table outside, and in this material, glass or plastic timber (I think the plastic is not good). I use it in my backyard, but not on the floor.

I would not put it in my outdoor furniture glass, so it is not too hot and crack. I have a table metal utility I use for portable barbecue. Can you burn wood, of course, plastic is a no-no. If you have a wooden table, placing a concrete block few under the grill to protect the table. Good luck.
